Join us for the Stuff the Bus Challenge to support your neighbours in need this holiday season!
We’re excited to bring back our annual Stuff the Bus campaign! This year, we’re collecting non-perishable food and monetary donations to support our Christmas and Emergency Food programs, which help thousands of people in need right here in Niagara Falls. At the end of the campaign, a Niagara Regional Transit bus will make the rounds to collect donations, leading up to our annual Community Holiday Breakfast. Let’s make this holiday season special for everyone!
Give food and hope for the holidays!
Food bank use is at an all-time high. Through CBC Sounds of the Season’s 12 Days of Giving, you and your family can help provide emergency access to food to neighbours experiencing hunger this winter.
Order a Barrel
In order to serve our community, Project SHARE relies on Food drives, Project SHARE events, 3rd party events, barrels at community partners, support from local grocery stores, bakeries, farmers, restaurants and donations from the community.
Christmas Program 2025 Update
We want to update you on some necessary changes to our Christmas Program. We have experienced an alarming 20% increase in the need for emergency food over the previous year. We are now serving approximately 1 in every 7 residents of our city, and our per capita food bank usage is one of the highest in our province. We are serving an average of 133 households per day and see a higher number of larger families seeking help, resulting in an additional increase in food distributed. So far this year we have spent $33,000.00 on milk alone!!!
Holiday Meal Program
We are focusing on our core mission of providing the essential services of emergency food distribution and housing eviction prevention. This year, we will provide families with grocery gift cards for additional support towards a holiday meal.
Our Holiday Meal Program kindly asks that our generous donors and community members extend support through the donation of grocery gift cards. Each household will receive gift cards for groceries or a holiday meal—$25 per family member, up to $125 per household. Last year, with your support, you helped 6,520 people, making the season a little brighter for families struggling with food insecurity in Niagara Falls.
How Your Support Will Make a Difference
Every $25 grocery store gift card you donate will directly contribute towards a holiday dinner for a family in need, bringing them comfort and joy during the festive season. Imagine the smile on a child’s face or the relief for a struggling parent when they realize that they too, can enjoy Christmas dinner without financial stress.
Thank you once again for your support and generosity. It’s the kindness and giving spirit of individuals like you that bring smiles and create a festive spirit among the families.
