EMERGENCY FOOD BANK

Our food bank is coordinated by our dedicated staff and volunteers.

We recognize if you require the services of a Food Bank, you are likely experiencing difficulties in your life. Our Food Bank creates a welcoming environment for those who visit us to access assistance. To make your experience positive, our staff and volunteers create an environment of mutual respect and compassion for all our clients.

Eligibility

Anyone in need residing in Niagara Falls is eligible to use the food bank. Our Client Services Staff will ask to see verification of identity for individuals residing in the home, as well as proof of residency in Niagara Falls.

Booking an Appointment

As of September 2024, we have moved to an appointment-based system for accessing our emergency food room. 

Appointments can be made in person at either Project SHARE location,  by calling 905-357-5121 ext. 250, or emailing emergencyfood@projectshare.ca

Do I need an appointment?

Effective Tuesday, September 3, 2024, Project SHARE will be transitioning to an appointment-based system for accessing our emergency food room at both our Stanley Avenue and Chippawa satellite locations. We are implementing this new system to reduce wait times and improve our service for clients.

What do I need to bring?

When you visit the food bank, please provide the following: 

  • Identification for all household members
  • Verification of residence in Niagara Falls (eg. rental agreement, mortgage statement, utility bill, etc)
